I have spastic quadriplegia CP and am aspiring to be a case manager and advocate for people with disabilities, but this takes a social work degree. I am a sophomore in college. In high school I won the Who's Who Among American High School Students, and stayed on the honor role all four years. At the age of eighteen, in 1994, I left home to attend Lexington Community College. I left LCC to attend Carl D. Perkins Rehab Center. After that I went to Jefferson Community College in my hometown. I am also an aspiring writer.

First of all, let me say that I am 72 years old, and I have C.P. After spending 40 years, 20 years of working with people with disabilities, I am now retired. During those years, it was my honor to be a part of the UCP's CHOICE PROJECT. CHOICE was a five year demonstration project to help persons with severe disabilities reach gainful employment. CHOICE was in five cities including Pittsburgh, Detroit, and New Orleans. Each site had a coordinator and I was fortunate to be the coordinator for the New Orleans area.
