As the Disability Program Navigator at CONNECT! Job Seeker Center I have been able to build further upon my skills as a disAbility advocate. I have spent time working with staff on issues of disclosure and assistance. I have also been a guide as people got back on the employment track. This was done with recommendations of services within the county and peer support and advice. I have taken my basic knowledge of the system and developed it further by meeting key figures in the community and studying the disability movement more thoroughly.

I was born with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy, affecting my right limbs. Because of my pronounced limp, my left hip went bad when I was a teenager, resulting in my good hip being fused. In spite of my physical challenges, I graduated with my high school class, majored in Religion at Temple University, 1974-1979; ordained as Elder in the AME church; 1977 am Senior Director of a Child Development Center, 2006-2008. I am a husband, father and grandfather. In 2008 I took a terrible fall down the stairs at my home, which neccesitated a great deal of rehabilitation.

I graduated from high school and was the first mainstreamed child at that high school. There are too many accomplishments to list. I wrote several short stories, two of them are locally published.
