The CP Group, a national organization of adults with cerebral palsy will hold their 5th annual conference on October 17th – 20th 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC.
The primary purpose of the conference is to address CP-related problems and to develop approaches for dealing with those problems. But the meeting will also be a social gathering and an opportunity to network.
The DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal City, Virginia features restaurants, bars and lounges where you can relax with others. The opening session of the conference begins at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 19th. A reception in the famous Windows over Washington lounge with hors d'ourvres begins at 7:30 PM on Thursday. The roundtable discussions on Friday, Saturday and half day on Monday are scheduled to allow time to socialize and get to know other participants.

There are many topics to be discussed at the conference, and the following list is not inclusive. If there are topics not included in this list that you would like to be discussed at the conference, you can indicate your choice on the registration form.

The conference will be at the Doubletree Hotel Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202. Participants should call the DoubleTree Hotel for room reservations (1-800-222-TREE) and say they will be attending the CP conference in order to qualify for the special rate of $119 plus tax a night. The DoubleTree (Crystal City, VA) is a five minute walk from the Pentagon City Metro stop on the Yellow Line of the Washington metro system. Participants flying to Reagan Airport in Washington can take the hotel shuttle to the hotel.
Personal assistants will be provided for $10/hour, and should be requested in advance. Individuals who need sign language services are required to notify conference planners on their Registration form.
The conference fee is $175, which includes admission to all roundtable discussions/workshops, as well as continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday also dinner on Sunday. Additionally, hors d’oeuvres will be served at the opening reception on Friday evening.
